Description

It began when I was around 15. With my cousin Winston, we had the servants clear the East Wing and then we brought in Father's favorite airship. Sailing about the chamber, we had a blast, until Winston bumped into one of the massive chandeliers and sent it crashing to the floor. My parents had been away at the Summer Palace, but when they returned there was an odd mix of shock and intrique in their reaction to our deeds. That was the start of our little family tradition. From then on, every Sunday afternoon, we had friends over and everyone sailed about the room in a rather magnificent airship regatta. *** The room was built by Topa, but the 3ds file imported in completely exploded. A friend with 3DMax said he couldn't fix it, so I reassembled one corner and a window, then duplicated it 3 times. Only the floor has the original texture. It's a very cool model and was worth the work. It's a freebie at http://scifi3d.theforce.net The airships are from around the net. Two of them are by Helmut Shaub. Don't know the others.

"we had the servants clear the East Wind" - what a fortuitous misspelling. :) And what a tremendous idea. I think I'll start doing this at our house.

I like the scale, "BIG". Cool concepts for your flying devices and the architecture looks great. Keep up the excellent work.
