Description

My first flower shot here at RR. This flower is called a Spanish Margerit in Norway. I have no idea what its english (or its scientific) name is, but maybe I can get a little help with that... And then a little explanation of the title: The color yellow has been used to symbolise treason in most cultures at one time. Two examples are 1) in traditional Chinese theater, yellow make-up was used as a "code" for treachery 2) Jews were forced to wear yellow in medieval Europe and yellow badges under Nazism (as the SUPPOSED betrayers of Christ). A bit much to read into the color of a flower - but the title just popped into my head - and once there it just wouldn't let go...

i love your image!!!!! it's soooo beautiful and it's my favorite color! i feel so sad reading about the symbolism of this color. sigh. yellow to me symbolizes the sun, warmth, happiness, joy...anyway...i love the flower!!!!! :)
