Nobody knows the original purpose of this alien artifact, but the last 200.000 years left their mark on it ... --------------------------- This is the same XenoDream object that I used in the Radial Grid image yesterday. Well, almost the same ... I started to load the exported XD mesh into my Vue 5 Esprit. It told me (after about a minute of crunching), that my system was out of memory and then just died. Just for the log: actually not even half of the physical memory was in use ... After this adventure, I started C4D. It loaded the whole mesh in about 10 seconds, using half the memory Vue used to fail. I deleted 80% of the original mesh and reexported it in a .obj file. Now Vue was very happy with my XD mesh and rendered this image. Not bad. Oh, if they could take a bit more seriously elementary things like memory management ...
