Description


This is Big Bertha, the 4/28 Mighty WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ installed at the Alabama Theatre in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. It has twenty-eight ranks of pipes totalling 2006 pipes ranging in size from 32 feet long to around two inches long. It is the only red and gold leafed Publix 1 style four manual WurliTzer in exitstence, built and installed in 1928. It is in its original installation.
