Description

My second painting of this lovely image provided by Dove-Stock at Deviant Art. Thank you so much for allowing the use of your work. Thank you all for comments. This one is still a little rough but I wanted to leave it that way, I really love the original image and I hope I brought out the movement and sense of energy.

Rough? - no - like a watercolour that captured a sublime moment in time... Perfect! Don't change a thing!

Nice work, what did you use to create it?

Sorry I did not mention the process. This was done in Corel Painter IX with several different clone brushes. The original photograph was provided as a stock image and is very conducive to this type of transformation. The key to this one (as if I know what I am doing) was to vary the strength of the "jitter" and "effect" parameter to balance the detail parts of the image with the more "brushy" parts. I have had a lot of trouble with faces but this one came out OK. I also use the Wacom Intuos tablet without which I don't think this would have been possible.
