Description

I created this scene by using a combination of two 4097 DEM files; namely: Moonlight Peak, CA and Mt. St. Helens (cut version). The 'cut' version was provided by Buzzzzz. Jay added the post-worked clouds and other tonal embellishments. The terrain will be available soon on my web site for download at http://www.imaginature.us . Tomorrow I will post the original so you can see what 'post work' can do for your creations. Why the name 'The Sleeper'? Shortly after I selected the POV and adjusted the water; the main landform appeared to me to look like a giant Monitor Lizard at sleep partially submerged in the water.

Your effort on this one really paid off Bob. I know how much time you put into all aspects of this Excellent work. Plus the very long render time of Days and Days and Days. I was really suprised when you said you were going to post one of the two I post-worked! That wasn't my plan at all, I just wanted to show you what could be done with a little post-work. In fact I only spent about 15 minites on it. Thanks to you it wasn't hard to see the vision you had. Thanks Bob! hmmmm? I guess I can't vote? :o(
