Description

***I am sharing something personal here. Read if you like, if not, it's ok.*** Such a gloomy image, yet I have some good news!! As some of you know, I have been suffering from the side effects of Hashimoto's Disease which affects the thyroid gland. I was diagnosed two years ago this July 5. I've been to a new clinic (Born Clinic)here in town that has the same belief that I do about medicine. That is finding the cause and fixing the whole problem not just covering it up with pills and temporary fixes. Last month I underwent a month long analysis of my hormones and hair strands to find out more about what's wrong with me. Today was the day that I found out that I may not live the rest of my life in misery!!! After seeing my hormone analysis, the doctor told me that I am a walking endocrine nightmare, LOL! And the suspicion that I had in my gut for the last two years (that fell on deaf ears when I tried to bring it up) was confirmed. I have Adrenal Fatigue in addition to very low hormone levels...I will be on much medication, some of it for the rest of my life, but I am hopeful that things will soon begin to turn around for me. I guess that I have proved one of my "no longer friends" incorrect as it turns out that all this time I wasn't just "being a drama queen"! Thanks, Mari_e17 for the awesome Batlab outfit. muah! and to Jenni for the wonderful character! and Ann0314 for the awesome kit by antje and Bez (grass)! and 1010 for her fantastic bakgrounds!

I had absolutely no idea of any of this, and I'm glad you found light at the end of the tunnel! It sounds like they really have a grip on it, as opposed to standard medicine practices. You are right when most doctors dummy up effects with pills instead of rolling up the gloves and getting to the heart of the problem. My best wishes, thoughts, and prayers go to you in this battle and I have faith all will work out fine! This image is awesome; everything is sensationally realized! Although it could be considered gloomy, I find it to be quite symbolic with the roses! Nice touch! Superb work and I wish you the best, Meli! Big Hugz

Don't ya just hate it when other people assume to know what's going on inside your own body better than you do??? I agree with your view on medicine, its just too bad that alot of the medical field doesn't!!! Excellent image, and I am happy that someone finally listened, and now there may be a solution! Best wishes for a speedy and FULL recovery! :D HUGS Lorie

Excellent art work. And I'm happy you didn't take a simple answere. When something goes wrong with the endocrine system, it's never just one problem. I had Graves, Hyperthyroid, and I fought too. I knew my eyes were very bad. I ended up with over 12 eye operations. Hang in there. and Hugs to you even if I don't know you.
