Description

Ok...last shot of my night series..not that I don't like shooting at night...just to damn late for me to stay up..heh heh. Seems I stay up to late editing and sleep the next day away..besides I kinda miss the colors, no offense. This was taken at an Puna Sugar Mill, now converted to an electric plant supplementing power to our main plant. I got hassled by the security guard for hanging out too long, but I "EBsmoothed" talked my way out of trouble and walked away with only what we Hawaiians call "Stink Eye" from the guard. Thanks for all your kind comments and the help of Eric and Sharky for making these images possible...Aloha to All!

Another stunning nightshot! Its a pity its your last for now, but i can totally relate to what youre saying. Colours truly are a beautiful element in all images. Nightshots like these do however work best in B/W, and the thing ive been most impressed about this series, is the tonal range. Which has been dead on, your photos have appeared needlesharp i tell ya. Great series, and cant wait to see whats coming next. Have a great day #:O)

Your color shots are also wonderful, but I've enjoyed the interplay of light and shadow on these B&W night shots! Looking forward to your next series :)

I wonder what these pictures (night ones) would look like using infer red film, I know they make some awesome trees and clouds during the day very spectacular. Just a thought, great images once again Dave...Aloha!

Lovely shot again. I really like how you've grown in you nightshots. Sugar = energy, makes sense to me. About being hasseld, I find that if you where a photographer's vest and carry a fake Tribune-Herald ID around your neck, most people will leave you alone. ;)
