Description

So I've been feeling stumped lately and I thought I would just take my standard fractal toolbox and make an image I kinda liked. I then proceeded to pick random colors, add a few things I wouldn't normally do, and followed it all up with some post-processing (which I only ever use for sharpening and sig), so tell me what you all think. Comments and criticisms and always welcome! And thanks for stopping by and for previous comments and criticisms.

There's an interesting use of depth here: the spiral to me is definitely going down into the screen, but the overlapping disks mean that the largest disk is at the bottom of the stack and the spiral is coming out. Did you intend this?

A very cool spiral! I like the contrasting geometries and the neat texture on the outside of the disks. Yeah, I guess Kerry's right about the disk overlap thing but, hey - its a fractal and with fractals it seems that it's always SOMETHING! lol

I think it is a very creative work and an unsusual design. I would like to see a somewhat more contrasting background color. You could have a lot of fun playing with this style.

I thought flipping the "stacking" of the components would be kinda fun, so yeah, I guess I intended it. Might be that, combined with the use of the "difference" merge mode, that spawned the title...

Looked at this for a while. I really like it on the whole, but I think I agree with whirlingfeather - I'd like a bit more contrast colouring. I like the pattern on the disks.

AFantastic image - personally I like the whole 'impossibility' aspect of the inverse stacking of the disks. Excellent idea and image.

I agree with all of the above! The texture of each individual disc is wonderful, and the background texture . . . superb! Standing ovation for this one!

Fantastic! Like grind says: the impossible stacking of the disks is marvellous, as are the colours. Please explore further.

Something just doesn't mesh well, it's missing the "pow" that the majority of your work possesses.

I like this one Stephan. It is different. The colors are bold and the textures are unusual. It has depth and a tactile sense.
