Description

Come Sunday night, when I settle down for bed (June 12, 2005), I will smoke my final cigarette. "Why?" you may ask...well, let's do the math. From the time I started smoking till now, I have smoked an average of 2.5 packs a day at $2.65 per pack. Now let's get to the down and dirty math... $2.65 X 2.5=$6.63 per day (not including tax) $6.63 X 6574 (18 years)=$43,585.62 that has been spent on cigarettes by me. That is 1/3 what my Mortgage is (not including interest)...I could have bought my truck 4 times...2 of my 3 children would have a nice college fund set up. And to top it off, that $2.65 average is not including the first 5 years of smoking because of how little I smoked; same with the 2.5 pack per day. So, YES, I'm going to stop...so pray for those who are going to have to deal with me for those first 3 crucial days...they're gonna need it. Jeff (a.k.a. RevNook)

For all those who wish to quit smoking, do the math for yourself. How long have you smoked? How much has it cost you? What could you have bought with that money? Once you see the numbers, just sitting there in front of you...You'll curse cigarette makers and swear to quit. Now think about how much you're going to spend in health care, due to the smoking. Mindblowing, isn't it.
