Fantastic...but the nostrils glow slightly which breaks the illusion a bit.

Let me start by saying that I think your work is some of the most outstanding and realistic being done in Poser today. It has me in awe. This image has a wonderfully realistic look but the light in the eyes is not from your light source or is it consistent. A light reflection like you have would come from a type of lighting that was really done well by Robert Mapplethorpe. It is created by multiple light sources, in this case four, creating a box in front of the subject. The light focuses inward and in a sense kind of explodes in front of the subject. What the subject receives in terms of light is a very diffused falloff from where the light "exploded" at a blown out level of exposure. The effect is one of a very soft lit look on the skin that makes it glow. Here's my crit, the effect has no shadows at the center points like around the nose. By looking at the skin, your light source looks like it was just over camera, a bit soft, but not soft enough to avoid getting a hard highlight on the skin. I know this Mapplethorpe light from my studio days, having used that setup about a hundred times. When nailed, it is nothing short of outstanding and beautiful. take a look at the Mapplethorpe book "Some Women," for an example. Look, in retrospect I sure don't mean to dis your work. From looking at your stuff I can only shake my head and smile because you are taking wonderful steps to furthur the medium. Keep up the outstanding direction you are taking...you're pushing us all forward. The best of luck in your creative endevors! -jay
