Does express the sad reality of the violent death of the tree... generations may have passed for it to reach mature size, and reduced to ash in a moment, perhaps by the carelessness of man, perhaps by the vagaries of a passing storm. Still the same....

Very beautiful art. I very much like the colors. :-) Reminds me of some footage of a forest fire I saw on TV the other day. Amazing how something so destructive can also be so beautiful at the same time.

The death of trees to me is like the taking of ones life, for the tree is sacred to all life on Earth and the billions of the outer worlds...Otherwise this is amazing image with passion and skill...Bravo!!!...:))

excellent realisation. It happens more by lightning than of smoking nerds, Harmen. We see many of them around here, in the Sieras and it saddens me every time but nature has its way.
