Description

This one's for Doug, the "Boatman"! ;) My first boat shot taken in a very difficult lighting condition, at midday on a very sunny day! I'm quite pleased with the result but I'd love to have any constructive criticism, tips and tricks u may think of! Thx for viewing guys! :)

cool shot, dear plascale... and very well done! for a really bright day the colors are really good - not too much highlight or "overbright" colors... and a cool site - i like your POV here - great to see the different lines in the composition... :) hey what were the details ?!? aperture, shutter speed?

Considering the conditions, I think you did quite well here. I really like the setting and the little bits of vibrant color here and there. The colors and detail are very good. Though I am unsure of what is "out of the frame", the only thing I would do is pull back a bit to give the boat some more breathing room, and move it to the left a little bit so it isn't so centered.

I like ole boat pics. Maybe try making a B/W out of it or a duotone. The colors look great..especially like the red paint showing thru on the bow.

First thing that comes to mind is that its not floating Pascale. Although you capture it beautifully. You should definitly feel proud of this one, its really a high-quality shot!!! YAY!!!!! Gonna go play with my new cam now...see ya later #:O)

Lovely clear light and colors ,Pascale.The boat has such wonderful character.Aged and yet still looks well-tended to and sea-worthy.I love how the blues in the background compliment the blues in the paint and the shadows up front.Love it!

Nice with the ropes &c. I always try at avoiding an industrial background... but only because I try to evoke a romanticism with boats... Each to their own style. A cut mast can look kinda weird... but I think it's compensated for here by the scenery and detail.

This is pretty cool my friend !!! Impressive work here !!! I would love to see a wider shot of this with more of the boats on the left, maybe a bit more vertical space too so that the antennae fits in the pic... :o) But its awesome as it is !! Superb work !! :o)
