Description

The world moves beneath my shell, Many miles pass as I stand still. On the memories and past I dwell, The dreams that I did not fulfil. Surround me faces, blank, unknown, A lover for you perhaps does wait. To hold you when you return home, I wish that I did share your fate. The miles pass by as do the years, The hills rise high, the valleys drop. Today high hopes, tomorrow fears, No progress made and never stop.

There's much wisdom in these words. Well said poignant and emotive!

I love this, much said between the lines, yet the lines flow together wonderfully. Excellent poem.
