Description

The Historic Kissimmee River flowed 103 meandering miles from the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes into Lake Okeechobee. Its 1-2 mile wide floodplain offered a large patchwork of wetland habitats for many unique species. Over 35 species of fish, 16 species of wading birds, 16 species of waterfowl, river otters, many species of invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles and other plants and animals swam, roamed, waded and flew over the extensive 18,000 ha floodplain. This is a pic of the river taken 2 yrs ago. If you ever get a chance to go boating on this river, take it, the scenery is awesome.

I think that this is a beautifuly photographed river. I trust that there were no false touches? The ripples on the water help to create an almost painted feel & I can tell that it was taken with a lot of Love. Perfect & excellent!!!!!!!! Standing ovations to you!

Interesting! The sunset tonight looked pretty much like this picture does ... I'm about 45 minutes north of there, and was down near the lake earlier today. Very nice shot!
