Description
This photo montage was inspired by movie posters of the 1940's. I made it in honor of my mother's 79th birthday (and she's still got less gray hair than I). The print size is 10.25x20 inches, which is rather small, but the aspect ratio is vaguely posterish, and it fits an inexpensive prefab frame.
I'm still a rookie, but getting a little more comfortable with Photoshop now. I learned some hard lessons about color spaces and CM on this one, wasting some rather spendy inkjet materials on a faulty gamma setting. The original image resolution was 600dpi, which I think was probably overkill. The file was over 300MB before I accidentally flattened it! But the print came out very nice on my Epson R1800 using 13" Premium Luster roll stock, and it should be no problem to enlarge it commercially if desired in the future.
