She only could hold on for the ride. After returning to Gareth's Steading Janrielle had brought her to the temple of Maileen, and left her in the care of the temple armorer, who had repaired her armor and replaced the shattered sword. Feeling better now, Ruth could take a moment to reflect on what had happened in the Old Forest, putting her thoughts in order as to what might have happened had the black-haired woman not come by when she did. While waiting for Janrielle to finish her business with the clergy Ruth had been introduced to Eliese by one of the acolytes. "Your new travelling companion." the acolyte had simply stated, before leaving Ruth alone with the small bundle of energy. Eliese, as she proudly proclaimed, was a halfling from Greenfields, and proceeded to tell Ruth all about her home, the country of Verrok in which it was located and the (many) reasons she should come and visit. Now, as they walked along the perimeter of the church grounds, Eliese started to ask Ruth about herself. She would listen in rapt attention as Ruth answered the questions quietly, then would begin to talk excitedly about wanting to see Ruth's village, and asking her other questions in rapidfire procession. Thus, Ruth was introduced to the whirlwind that was Eliese Swiftsinger... As always, thanks for looking!
