A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

Ciao Michel ! But what are you doing behind your computer ???? I'm happy to see this beautiful photography. This dragongly is a wonder, very nice colours. And I'm shure that Jeroen and the others friends who make macro will agree with me ! Superbe tout simplement ! Bisous.

I think it is a superb macro and I like the blurry background. The colours are fantastic. Great composition. Excellent.
Enmos
WOW cool looking dragon here. Its a "Beautiful Club-tailed Dragonfly" (Gomphus pulchellus), called Gomphus gentil in French :o) A page with some comparison images here: http://ghmahoney.org.uk/insects/dflyl_species.asp?Species=gopul I couldnt find any significant info on this species though... Have a great day !! :o)

nice foto pity the libelle isnt sharp, your camera focused on the leaf , still worthy to post imho. A good trick is take a couple of pics so one will have good sharpness on the subject.

This is beautiful Michel!! You should be very proud of this shot! I like the softness of this dragon...makes him/her a little less scary somehow. hehe :-) Excellent work.

To add the german name of this beauty, it's a "Westliche Keiljungfer", if Enmos is right (I can't see the legs, they should be black/yellow if it's pulchellum). It's not sharp, but hey, you'll catch her again, can't wait for a mugshot, heheh ;o) Regards, Karsten

Brilliant capture of "Brilliant emerald"!

Beautiful capture of this dragonfly. Aloha

It's a dragonfly. Look at the way the wings attach to the thorax. They are attached to the side. Damselfly wings are attached to the back end. Beautiful green colors!
