Description

With the coming Tutmania, I thought I would make a digital version of a replica box that I constructed out of wood, a number of years ago. I have a nice thick catalogue from the 1976 expo and copied it from a b&w 1922 photograph taken in King Tut's tomb. On my wooden version, I copied the heiroglyphics very close to the original. Here, I used a heiroglyphic font that doesn't do it justice. The original is 32 inches long, by 25 inches high.

A man of many talents. I remember that expo, I was 16 and enjoyed it very much. This is a fine replica Dave! (=

WOW! You are truly a man of many talents. As for the heiroglyphics, why didn't you just take a photo of the box heiroglyphics and scan that in and use it?

Nicely rendered! I'd love to see it with the real heirogliphics sometime. (And you know, I've read that great artists tend to be skilled in more than one medium...)
