Description

I've just learnt how to calibrate my monitor and I realized at the same time that many of my pics are really too dark and that I'm gonna have to re-work lots of them! Man I'm pissed off!! Anyway, thx for viewing guys!

Had to calibrate my monitor a few weeks ago too as I couldn't see a lot of the finer details in my images, they were too dark. Now they look lighter and slightly on the dull side sigh One day I might go back and rework them. Cool pic here Pascale, I love how you can create something great out of the ordinary.

I haven't noticed anything wrong with your uploads so far - and I'm usually able to tell when people have their monitors set wrong as their retouches stand out a mile ;-) But if you're even better set up than you were, your photography will improve even more, which it is anyway ;-)

Excellent photo, the depth of field is great! I like you in-camera framing! Yeah got to calibrate! Do you use photoShop? Using levels is easy, and very important! Big hugs to you my friend! ;)

Once you get your moniter calibrated, the next step is to calibrate that to a bloody photo printer! As usual, an excellent photo in your great candid style. Excellent Isolation of Element. Great comp and framing.

what does calibrated mean?...my eyes recalibrate everything anyway. i think mine is ok, i know it is different to the one at work.... sometimes I see weird dark shapes on the lighter one where I've tried to blot something into dark... looks terrible. I gave up this calibration stuff. Most folk are a bit lighter on the screen than me... that's all I know, I make adjustment for that.

I never find your images to be too dark, Pascale... They always looked just fine to me... Maybe they didn't look exactly as you wanted it on my monitor, but hey, we all have different monitor settings anyway, so yeah, it's frustrating but not worth getting pissed off too much :)) hugs

Hey sweetie, I think you images have been just fine. A lot of photographers preferr their photos to have some nice meaty darks in them. Is this a rework of an older image? I look familiar. Anyway, well done. Super tones and I love the repetition, DOF and the subject matter. :)
