second photo in a series of fly macros i got............ decided to leave part of it at full resolution this time so yawl can see the details..... (the inset pic is the photo the crop comes from)

And the little yellow beads are... fly dandruff? This is officially the last time my fianc will view your gallery... she left in a huff after seeing this fly. Apparently there are somethings best left to normal scale in her mind. :o) Fantastic details... absolutely fascinating!

picked up the pollen really good on that fly, great job chem :) this is cool because you can see every little hair on his body. the fog thing on my last one wasn't on the lens chem, checked lens after shooting, clean as a wistle, took 2 more shots and they did the same, thats why i figured it was light reflection. You know if you look at this one just right, they fly looks like he's got a tiny micro fly upside down on his nose heh ;) wonder if flies are where they got the idea for heli cockpits?

um thanks sossy but unfortunately i don't speak german...... :).... lol moe next time i'll post a gross warning ........ caleb ws right the little yellow beads are pollen grains.....

Yes, I love the little pic inside the pic, too! Really kewl. Yes, they will hack ya up over getting too close to blur...but it's in love of photography. I truly appreciate the effort and the outcome. Excellent!
