Sorry to seem ignorant, but is this ALL fractal-work? It's an amazing object, most clear and colourful and very attractively presented.

Excellent job.

Nicky, the object IS based on a fractal formula. You could do similar things e.g. in Xenodream right away. I just like creating manually macros based on fractal formulas in POV-Ray and thus having full control on the result. Cheers, Tom (then)

Looks great! I'm not sure though that these are really fractals in the sense of self-similarity ... I also tried to create this kind of images by code until I discovered Biowin, which does the whole job for the lazy men like me ;)

Love your background and light- highlights the awesome object beautifully. Would love to know how you accomplished this marvel.

A wonderful wee box of tricks you've got there. To create this you need to understand the formulas, yes? This is not a select, click and tweak of image but of the formula with pov-ray. Am I right - ish? If so, I'd be lost....Big respect for you!

Nice textures and wonderful play of the green color/light. What tools do you used to create masterpieces like this?
