Description

My today's upload is for our new Moderator Cindy ~aka~ cynlee I'm a bit late anyway I want to say: Congrats on your new job! Good look and lots of strength and energy, sweetie! You are definitely the best choice for this job! Doug is lucky to have you by his side and I guess he will also be very happy he needn't do the job alone anymore *wink* I'm sure you will do your very best for the success of our Gallery and Forum, Cyn! If you ask yourself why I have chosen this image? I remember she loves her Iguana so I thought she may like this shot of a bearded dragon. The image was taken through a glass pane at the Reptilium Landau. Bartagame - Bearded Dragon - Pogona vitticeps ORDER: Squamata FAMILY: Agamidae GENUS: Pogona SPECIES: vitticeps This unusual mid-sized stocky agamid lizard, native to Central Australia, has prominent spines along its sides and a large, essentially triangle-shaped head. Forming a sort of shield around the snout is a spiney jaw pouch which, when swollen, looks like a beard and makes any predator think twice before attacking. This wide-ranging species shows considerable geographic variation; its basic color varies from shades of brown, gray, and reddish-brown to bright orange. The ventral surface ranges from pale to dark gray, with white elongated spots edged with black. Mature males have dark "beards" which become black during courtship and breeding. Adults can grow as large as ten inches in body length or up to two feet (55cm) in total length, including the tail. Males are larger than females. Thanks for stopping by and any comments. Thank you for your nice comments, rankings and even votes on my previous upload "The circle of life" Always highly appreciated. I add my agreement to your comments... but why a bearded dragon???... I know this is a big circus, but Cindy is no bearded lady and certainly no dragon!

Monika, Monika, Monika, oh Monika! Was can ich sagen? I am laughing at your words in response to Adam, AKA: Addiek and shaking my head. For I can imagine Cynthia's face holding air and blowing her cheeks and sending fear into anyone not listening to her. But seriously, this is a beautiful dedication and your an angel for having done so. Love you both.
