Description

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Canon EOS 3000N 28-80mm on Kodak 200; f5.6/time of exposure: 6 seconds] I've intended to post some pictures from an exhibition some days ago...but, in the day I've wanted to post the first one - Inquisition - I was surprised to hear something that stopped me from doing it! In a monastery, somewhere in Romania (Tanacu monastery from Vaslui), a lunatic priest have had the role of an exorcist; he and 4 nunes have crucified another nun because of her so-called "possession of devil" - they filled her mouth with gauze and left her on the cross for a few days. They say that in the night time the nunes have taken out the gauze and tried to give her water, but the "possessed" refused to drink...In few days she died and yesterday she was burried! God rest her in peace! Now, please tell me - is it just me thinking that we're on 21th century or not? Really, I cannot believe my ears! Can you? Are we still living in the stone age without us knowing it? I was going to tell you a little story about Inquisition, but it seems that a modern inquistion took its place! I'm trying to understand how can some people live in so much indifference and let this kind of facts happen! This time I'm not telling you to enjoy the post...Even in my worst nightmares I could've not imagined that the scene itself has a correspondent in the immediate reality! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You gonna have some troubles with the fanatics browsing this gallery and searching for people to crucify... But before the modern incquisition uses their influence on our dear moderators (kisses to you, Cyn and my sympathy for you, Doug...), I have to tell you BRAVO, and beleive me, I'm with you at 200%!! And the work on this piece of art is just "divine"!!!!

Here stands a woman guilty of putting too little gravy on her husband's mashed potatoes. Of course it still goes on... wait until the Catholic church has enough political power and then we'll all be under suspicion! Good post.

This is indeed shocking. We all know thatjudeo-chistianism desacralized nature (women) by first of all claiming everything on earth as their possession (due to a phrase in genesis) and then, as catholic church, put someone between the individual and the divine so that you could not have a direct contact with the sacred anymore. Science went a step further and Bacon even said that if tortured long enough, mother nature would reveal all her secrets. Christianism only accepts woman as part of the divine in the form of a virgin. Some shave off a woman's hair, some make love through a hole in a blanket, lovers cannot dance together. Las Casas, a priest, was responsible for binging african slaves to the americas...This is a tradition that has been forced upon us, and it's up to us to give in or fight back for nature and womanhood. For we are birth, sex and death, mother, lover and crone, we are the marshes and the ocean, we are everything that they fear because uncontrollable. We are Lilith.

Till now I knew the first great Inquisition in Spain with "Torquemada" an especialist for burning non catholic and sorceress witch... all this is so antedilivian...we discover suddenly an other way for apeasing our large tendency of disbelief....Love I believe in you :-)

I cannot believe this... on one hand. On the other hand, anything I'd hear about organized religion I'm willing to believe, as it's nothing else but brain-washing practice that makes someone else think for you. An outstanding image to illustrate the story.

The problem is, that we are living in countries, which are very advanced in their technology and believes and we sometimes forget that this is not everywhere the case. Religious fanatics (and I am speaking about christs, jews, moslems and any other group)in far eastern europe and the middle east, vendetta in the mountains of Albania, Romania and in the deserts of the middle east. Such glimpses into the middle european 14th mideval times you can find in more countries and on more occations that you would believe. If no strong state or technology gives the people something to hold and refer to, they will start to explain it with god or take the law in their own hands. Sad but true, not the whole world is on the advanced standard we are used to. Nevertheless, I really do like the picture to this discussion. The lighting is fantastic. BR, Ulf
