Description

primary i have to say that this was for a test, only to see if the trees are looking correctly to the camera so that i can use 2d treespites for animation and to see if the trees look bushy or 2d spritelike. the optical aspect was not so important. it was the image, which came out here, but its not the final. i have to model a whole continent i think. it is for a amazing big 360

There is good news and bad news. The good news is the tres look like dark evergrens and spring foliage deciduous. The bad news is the light green is not in front and the dark in back like front lit trees of all one type. To make a computer work with a forest is amazing to me. If my computer 3 generations back had not had a PGA golf game I would not have any idea how this was possible. I can see windmills turning above the trees in my mind (only because that is what is the view at the Straits of Mackinaw now.)

Wow! Hey, Dr. :-) Still here? Good to see some veterans from time to time. Ziemlich heftiges Projekt. Viel Erfolg noch ;-)
