When shooting this, the old song
"Love is just like a merry-go-round..."
came into my head.
This picture was taken in the "Boehmischer Prater"
(Bohemian Prater), founded at 1883.
A very small and cheap amusement-park
in the suburbs of Vienna (10th district, Favoriten).
This area was originally made for the many poor Bohemian workers and their families,
which have come to Vienna at the turn of the 20th century.
This merry-go-round was built at 1930 and is still almost in original condition.
I have talked with the old lady, who owns this all,
and she was so very nice and showed me many interesting pieces of her big collection.
But I wasn't allowed tho photograph them, it's just private she said...sigh...
