Description

The title is because I'm sorry I haven't been able to be looking at all your wonderful gallery images. There is so much to try and learn. (Poser 6, Bryce 5.5, Daz-Studio, and most important (work related) PhotoshopCS2- they all came out at about the same time.) Seems like I am either reading or doing tutorials. I was going to turn off comments on this image, but I realized that I really need constructive criticism and helpful hints. i.e. "Too dark...Too light.. Not enough of this...Too much of that...) I promise not to be offended. If I am going to get better, I need the help. Compliments, if warranted, are also gladly accepted... I want to give a big thank you to everyone who has been so kind as to comment on my past works. Each one means a lot to me. This image is really a hair painting exercise. I must really need the practice because I kept throwing the

The only thing that is going to help you get better is to PRACTICE!! The more hair you paint, the better you'll be at it. Keep going - you have a good start. :D It looks better than many of my attempts.

I know everything about hairpainting..and throwing it in the trash ;) I have no idea how many times I have tried and tried..and never get saticfied with the result..so I bought me wacom paintboard last week..but still..I put the painted hair in the trash LOL! I think your hair looks really great, and you have all reasons to be proud of that! Your character looks so natural and sweet in this beautiful portrait :) You have done an excellent job with this!

Ok my friend, i share your pain LOL, in one of my latest images i dare to do some painted hair and shurely i throw dozen attempts, but as servelle says Practice, every one afer was a but better than the anterior, and your hair is gorgeous! in special, the way you manage the shadows, the highlights and the flow! superb! and second, the fact you use the antje's brushes, instead of premade forms (they are fantastic but your have limited feedom of forms) you choose the hard way but the best one after all, and can bet that in short you will be making some masterful hair cause you get the idea real clear! excellent Done, the render is fantastic too! Congrats! you got my vote.

No one ever starts out making fantastic hair... I think drawing hair is one of the hardest things here. You should see how many times I ditched something because it looked awful. :) I think that you did a wonderful job with her hair especially since it is close up and that is even harder to do. The render here is excellent! There is alot of detail in her skin and makeup, and the lighting is perfect. It really looks alot like a photograph to me. The background has the perfect lvl of softness so that your character really stands out. In my opinion you have done excellent work here!! :)

Let's do like that: when you have finished drawing your hairs drop me a line, so i'll send you my painted hairs and yours will look the most wonderful work ever! LOL! Seriously though, they could be surely improved but they aren't looking that bad to me! Instead, check her shirt, since there is some clipping just below the trim, on the right! Good luck with your studies! :)
