Description
For this photo I got the idea to use leaf spot metering from a most recent post by jimry of the Photography Forum. I love jimry's photo in that post, I just had to try this leaf spot focus as jimry indicated. jimry's photo can be seen here....http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12379&Form.ShowMessage=2297202I My shot is a similar subject matter as his, but naturally jimry's is better than mine...
I spot metered the bright leaf, using my polarizer... 22 mm, ISO 80, F2.8, 1/60 sec.
Digital photo/PS6(slight levels adj., crop, increase saturation a bit, unsharpen mask) ...prob. would have looked better if I just left it alone. :-)
p.s. I would say I got lost in the woods for awhile while taking this photo, but that may make me look bad, esp. being the navigator. So I won't say anything. How would you know anyways? I could be joking ha ha ha ha ;-)
Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)

A truly awesome photo !!Although his photo has an entirely different focus, your focus is truly unique. I am even more impressed that it is not a perfect leaf that you chose here. Like saying, " Nobody is perfect, but we all shine in our own personal way". A true masterpiece of photography :D Excellent capture !!~*****~!!

Spot metering works pretty fine and solves the problem finding the correct exposure-time pretty well!
