Hmm...what to say about this one.... It's not one of my favorites...And after letting it sit on my hard drive for...well...it wouldn't surprise me if it's been months... I finally decided to call it finished. And it's not the most original idea...and I just couldn't get the ocean to look right...but I hate leaving something sit on my HD and not finish it.
Thanks for looking,
Jennifer :)

I like it even though it looks like they are floating above the water not in it. If you tinted the whole image blue and maybe did some underwater lighting streaks across them it look more under water. Great image though, love the poses and props. Great expressions.

Were you inspired by Vallejo? Very similar in composition to one of his works.

I love the paired sirens and how their hands grab each other's arms; their hair is done very nicely too and the axis they form certainly catches the eye. However, I'd be inclined to agree with you re the ocean background, I think the textures on the reef look flat; this is no fault of your own, obviously, but I feel they detract from the overall feel. Have you thought about using a displacement map on those to give them more rugged feel? Adding some ocean gels to one or two of the lights might also help.
