Description

It was a terrible scene. Insults and slurs were being hurled back and forth without any regards to feelings, or one's safety. We lost my best friend Johnson, early on, when they called him an "idiot". As usual, after a round of explosive exchanges, the spin doctors from both sides ran out on the battlefield to try and defend and/or accuse the wounded. Things changed when our leader, Senator Elmwood Knotwise, ordered the secret weapon be used. We shuddered. Was this fair? Would this be a war crime? Would we all be judged for the actions of one lone madman? Thus ordered, we loaded the weapon and prepared to hurl it upon the enemy. The Senator then further shocked us and commanded that it be set afire. That day will live in infamy for we unleased a big flaming, "I know you are, but what am I?" on those across the battlefield. Yes they were the enemy, but they had families, just like us and they bled, just like us. Oh, the humanity. What have we done? *** Dedicated to the entire United States Congress (feel free to insert your own law makers here, if you are from another country). They only speak in front of those that agree them, then say the most insensitive, inaccurate, inflammatory, stupidest and politically incorrect things imaginable. Then, when criticized for it, they claim "It was taken out of context", "I was misquoted", or "I was just responding like the opposing party does". Worse yet, are the spin doctors who can stand in front of a camera, grinning and tell us why calling a political colleague, a "blood-thirsty, terrorist-loving, UnAmerican, lying, cheating, spouse-hating, dog-kicking, homophobic, anti-democracy, bribe-taking SOB" isn't really all that bad. They should have public showings of our elected officials having their mouths washed out with soap and then sent to their rooms without supper.
