I'm not really an artist, I have a bachelor degree in building engineering and I studied a few years on the architecture academy of Amsterdam. Nowadays I'm a freelance draftsman and technical advisor involved with superyacht interiors. I make 3D-computer graphics for more than 15 years, first with Autocad10 and accurender, later with Rhino, Flamingo, Poser, Bryce, Vue and a lot more.

Critique Group comment -- One of the best uses of depth of field that I've seen. I love the hyper-realistic approach you used -- not photo-realistic, but cleverly taking advantage of the media. I particularly liked the colors -- the yellow camel, the red of the woman's shoes, and the green car.

Cool picture indeed!!! But what the hell are you doing with the poor bug in the background? ;o) I own one of this old vehicles and I never had such a smoke cloud over it, because it runs and runs and runs..... ;o))))))) Nice idea. Where did you get the meshes for the Beetle or is this a photo composition? Regards Jochen

The VW-beetle is a real mesh, I downloaded it some where from the web,the picture is almost five years old so I don't remember where, but it was a freebie that I found googling, . I agree that they keep running forever, but I don't think they will survive the desert. Thanks for the comment, this picture is stil one of my favourites.
