Description

------------- The Blue Clan

In the latter days of the War of the Wolf Hordes, during the beginning of the Symballan Revolution, the followers of the Prophet, Gryphon went out on a mission towards the northern expanses of the Deep Desert. They did not return. In a move of typical draconian boldness, King Theron sent out his elite dragon warriors to take the Silver Gryphon. They awoke in magical cells. Some were tortured. Some were starved. They were brought before King Theron, the oldest and most powerful of the Blue Dragons, the master of weather and storms. His legend and his history went back to the days of Shang the Arch-Necromancer. It was said her had taught the fledgling devil prince the secrets of dragon magic, the most powerful of spells, that could only be grasped by another true immortal.

But Theron had made mistakes along the way. He had been married, an official marriage in the eyes of the Dragon Gods, ordained by a priest. But the marriage to Princess Aurora was nothing more than another maneuver for him to gain power over the Blue Clan, and finally the throne. Queen Aurora had been trapped in her true dragon form by his powerful magics and sealed away in a cave she could never escape from. That is, until the Silver Gryphon came along and freed her. Now as prisoners of King Theron, the Silver Gryphon watched in disbelief as that same Queen, now able to assume her human form, maneuvered back into Theron's good graces. They were sure she had been the one who had betrayed them and given away their position to the dragon patrols. They were correct. But Aurora's actions were not intended to cause the Silver Gryphon harm. They were intended to get her close enough to her ex-husband to kill him and all his power base.

From the ruins of the lost Frelenat sleeper ship, she had stolen the last of the atomics. With the knowledge she had gained from their off-worlder Kar'Thane Warrior, Jamis, she planted the device inside Theron's floating fortress, The Maelstrom. When her allies were ready, the Silver Gryphon was sprung and fled through their SunGate. Many miles away, they saw the sky light up as King Theron, The Maelstrom and most of the noble blood of the Blue clan were destroyed. But that was not the end of the Blue Clan.

Months later, Queen Aurora arrived in Dragaard with the last of her people. The Blue Clan had become something of an anachronism. They went against the traditions of ages and the reputations they had gained through legends and took up the cause of the humans of Callona. Queen Aurora became fast friends with Duchess Amanda Draggenbrand and took up permanent residence in Castle Dragaard. She helped force the Dragon Kings into an alliance with the human kingdoms, and split the Dragon Council politically, making Emperor Nordrage's rule impotent. By the time of their dissolution before the War of the Avatars, she had become the only female to ever sit on the Council of Dragon Kings. And in all her years following her release from Theron's imprisonment she never again assumed her true form,... at least not in front of anyone who survived.

A really cool character! Awesome, muscular build and that two-handed sword pose doesn't look quiet relaxed enough to make an opponent feel comfortable:-) Very well done - excellent work!!
