Description

After the Battle of Geonosis, which touched off the Clone Wars, a cloud of dark red gas moved into the Coruscant system, coming and going within a couple of hours. At just that time, a galaxy-renowned painter, en-route to Coruscant, delayed his arrival so that he could paint this haunting scene, having just heard about the battle on the Republic Holonet. During his return from Geonosis, Jedi Master Yoda saw this cloud too, and a cold chill ran through his body. The Dark Side of the Force had made its presence on Coruscant known. He knew that the Shroud of the Dark Side had fallen, and that the end of the Republic was drawing nigh. Designed from scratch in Photoshop CS. Angled Strokes filter applied to final scene to give the impression of a painting, which brings out the red clouds a little more. Coruscant's (as you can tell, I'm a big Star Wars fan and like to write fiction that is relevant to it) surface could probably use some improvement, but it took me more than an hour to come up with a surface arrangement that I was somewhat satisfied with. Feel free to give any comments, as they would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy, and May the Force Be With You.

Excellent 2D work! The texture on the larger planet looks excellent. Nice allround!
