A frustrated artist for many years before discovering computer graphics. DK dabbles in Bryce, fractals, photography and some other odd bits of 3D and graphic miscellany.
I got my first digital camera in May 2005. I use a Minolta DiMage Z10.
I haunt the fringes between civilization and the wild for most of my photos. I enjoy the richness of the diversity I find there.

A tiny bit grain, but it does not really bothers me here. You catched a real beauty which I never have seen in nature so far (I guess in Germany, we don't have this species; we have the Black Darter, Sympetrum danae [Schwarze Heidelibelle], which looks similar). Nice capture, maybe use a lower aperture next time to reduce the DOF? :o) Regards, Karsten

Stunning specimen here, never seen this one before either !!! Superb work in capturing this one !! Reducing the dof isnt that important imo, the grain might need some working on tho, still a pretty fine shot !! :o)
