this is another picture from the San Diego Zoo i have messing with my camera because it is new and i am new to digital slr's flowers don't move plus they look nice tips and comments are welcome thank you for taking the time to look

Take the shot vertically instead of horizontally, use a longer (120-200mm) focal length if you can, watch the the focusing.. looks like the autofocus lock nailed the spot to the left and down a bit making the flower a tad bit out of focus... center the flower a bit and make it a larger portion of the overall scene ... the dark background behind the flower would have made a nice contrast... Cheers...

Some people call this a friendship flower. I don't know for sure what it is. Very pretty shot however.
