Good model but the lines are more imperial style similar to a star destoyer. The rebel capitol ships were more organic in look with rounded lines and having soem color to them. this woudl make a great light strike carrier for the Imperium though. Great model.

There are no "rebel" ships besides the Mon Calamari ships. The CR90 Blockade Runner is a Corellian model and used by the empire as well, the Assault Frigate is a modernized Rendili Dreadnaught and the famous Nebulon-B is even an imperial Kuat Drive Yards product. The "Rebellion" is a political movement. They dont build capital ships.

Not as elegant as our Adjustment Carriers, but it's more a counterpart to the escort carrier, isn't it?

Are those three hangars, or are the hangars connected? The design is cool. Reminds me a lot of the carrier ships in the old Wing Commander games.

The hangars are connected. While the main hangar serves as shuttle and bomber hangar, the secondary hangars are used to deploy and retrieve the space superiority fighters as fast and safe as possible.

Excellent basics and it has that star wars style about it so should fit in well. I think its only the rebels missing heavy strike bombers which would look kool coming out of this beast.

The Rebellion actually has a carrier-class of ship, made from converted bulk freighters. A line drawing of the Rebel carrier can be found in the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook by West End Games, which is no longer in print. I'm not sure if the Rebel carriers have appeared elsewhere, but since the Star Wars RPG from West End Games is treated as official EU material the ship exists (unless youre a heretic who doesnt accept EU stuff). As far as this ship goes, its an interesting concept, but its use of features so peculiar to Imperial warships (such as the bridge tower) make it unlikely it would have been built or operated by the Rebellion. Still, an interesting concept.

Well, if you've read the text about the Build Cruisers, you also know, that they're not really loved ships... Given the choice to use an old, modified bulkfrighter or a new warship I would surley take the warship into the fight. I also don't see the problem with the Imperial "features". The rebellion/new republic uses what it can get. That also includes some Imperial Stardestroyers Maybe you could see it as an interim solution. The New Republic got it's hands on a former, imperial shipyard, and using existing parts is always cheaper (and faster) then designing new ones. Either way, it will be interessting to see this model evolve.

2Ravenwing: The rebellion has in fact some heavy strike bombers, like the B-Wing and the K-Wing. Especially the K-Wing is a big mothaf##kin killer! 219Paul: Perhaps I should have more clearly stated, that by "Rebellion" I meant "Alliance" and by "Alliance" I mean the Alliance Forces, which form the backbone of the New Republic military. And guess what? The New Republic has no sentiments against imperial ships. It eben builds its own Star Destroyers and uses any imperial ship they can get theyr hands on. ;)
