Description

Here's Rachel's(sweetheart-hikari) and my third collaboration in our series (our fourth collab overall). Rachel saw my pic, Nova , and said that she'd like to play with it. Well, here is the result!! Personally, I love the colors throughout the piece...and the immensity of the scene too. I re-rendered my Nova pic (original was only 2000x1500) at 4000x3000 so she'd have something substantial to work with. The original size of this piece was 4000x6000. Here's part of Rachel's description of the image from her gallery: "Out of the sky it rises, a new life, smoke and light surrounds, a new planet forms from the old." Enjoy!! this is BRILLIANT FANTASTIC AND AMAZING!!! love the bunny with the sun -cloud puff tail ... and the colors oh mann this is so cool!! WOW I LOVE IT BIG HUGE VOTEE!!

Hi! This image is outstanding, especially clouds and sun! Are they made in Terragen too!? One thing bothers me though. Gas giant is so big that if you drew a full circle around it, it would mask the sun. In here it doesn't, and only logical explanation is that the planet is actually behind the sun... Which is in other hand impossible: Planet would be really much bigger than sun, and that is quite... impossible. Well, I think "realism" wasn't even the point in your work. Mood and atmosphere are REALLY good.

@Cannonball: Good observations...I know that Rachel's whole idea behind this pic is that the large planet is being 'born' from the atmosphere itself...which certainly doesn't lend it to realism! LOL! This has quite a surreal element to it, which I like quite a bit. Thanks for the wonderfully detailed comment! :)
