Description
If anybody can give me some advise on how not to drownd out the spider with my flash but still have the web show in which the web is dependent on the flash that would be nice thank you.
i am using a nikon d70 if that helps

Hi Sean, beautiful shot here !! The spider is indeed burned out here... did you shoot this in daylight ? If there is no wind and you have a tripod i dont see any need for flash here. I f you do want to use flash i suggest you got one of those seperate flash-units of which you can adjust the intensity of the flash. Asking Jim (Jimry) about these might be a good idea :o) In the mean time standing a bit further away from the subject may weaken the flash enough so it will not burn out the spider. But my advice would be try this again on a sunny day or buy the seperate flash-unit :o) But again the shot is quite good afterall, love the mood in this !! :o)

I find the glowing spider adds something! But if you don't want it to be burned you schould not use a direct flash, sure Enmos mentionned it... Have a great day!
