Description

Listen you! Or me, yes that my ear. Lovely isnt it. The better to hear you with. I think, really, our ears are some of the best organs we have. Honestly, imagine what life would be like if you couldnt hear. Unfortunately, many know this, and I feel for them. Consider this, when you're getting a headache over your childrens music, or your parents for that matter. Consider this, when the dog is barking, or the cat is singing. Consider this when someone is giving you empty conversation. We take for granted that we can hear at all. The laughter of a child. The whispers of our companion, the recollections of our elders and the dreams of the young. New music and old, the sound of the ocean pounding the sands. The distant rolling of lazy summer thunder. The click of a camera shutter, the purr of a cat and gentle panting of a dog. The sound of our partner sleeping, dreaming. Crickets in the back garden, the ice cream trucks gentle tune. A favourite song, the sound of your favourite food sizzling, bubbling, boiling. consider all of this. And love your ears. cheers Anna

Love the image and imagination, the isolation to this area is truly very creative.

Every day I give thanks for the things I could hear. And I'm so glad you listed a child's laughter...that's one of my favorite things to hear, and something not heard enough these days, methinks (and I'm saying this, as still very much a child). You always blow me away with your pieces, excellent work.
