I like cat images and ones like this which are almost portraits. Seeing the thumb, I thought this one might be out of focus..to my happy surprise I find a wonderful, very well-done picture of a beautiful cat. Very good job of bringing the face in "just right" against the highlights behind. This is a keeper, for sure. Did you meter on the face?

thanks, and my wife thanks you. She took this picture. This was done on a fuji finepix 3800 in auto mode. Sometimes this camera produces shockingly good shots.

you both seem to have "an eye". your shots have warmth and depth. I believe that focus can be a tool like a "gel" filter. The trick seems to rest in controlling your luck. Sharper focus might have hurt this photo.that camera,does DOF outstandingly!
