Man whoever said volumetric light was easy... maybe nobody... wish it was! 2 hours later on the third render and this is it... neat effect, but boy the rendering time goes way out the window. Thanks for looking and commenting... if you've got any ideas for quick volumetric lights let me know.... pleeeeese Deane

Gorgeous image! The lighting and volumetrics are superb! I really don't think there is a way to speed up volumetric effects besides upgrading your computer, or using Vue 5 Infinite with the render cows. lol! Then again, my rendering time averages at about 12 hours minimum, so I might be the wrong guy to ask! Superb artwork and the eye candy definitely comes at a cost!

Can't help you there. Volumetric lighting definitely hurts render times - 2 hours and 3 renders? That's FAST! Anyhow, it came out beautifully. Fantastic light effects, gorgeous image!

Great Lighting...Pose...and composition. You think that's bad for rendering time. Wait till you get into some heavier effects.

AWESOME effects - the shadows and light are just darned near real. I can feel the dust floating around this big empty room. Bravo!!

The lighting looks superb anyway! Not sure I'd like that sacrifice either, though! But the image looks AWESOME!

Excellent lighting. Beautiful character, pose and expression. Nice outfit. The only thing I know about volumetric lights is: DON'T use them! 8-)

i tend to fake volumetrics in poser, they are to wierd and never predictable..but in bryce i can tell what will happen and let it render for days..with usually good results..This looks Awesome and worth every second..!!

Yeah, use Bryce! I've had this idea for a while, but never got around to doing it! You've definitely done it justice and volumetric lighting is a ROYAL PAIN!

WOW fantastic lights! Very detailed render and perfect mood with the volumetric lights. They slow down every renderengine. VUE makes it faster than P6 but the skin is much better in P6(thanks Paul)... ~Uwe
