Noticed this snake peeking up out of the water. I was a bit suprised that the flash illuminated him beneath the waterline as well as it did...

Great shot. The brown water snake is commonly confused with the copperhead as the coloring of the water snake is almost identical. The difference is in the head. This is a pretty large water snake about 3 to 4 years old. This shot really shows the beautiful detail.
