This is what I don't like. We don't need any more skill regarding modeling, texture cration or what ever. Just take hold of these so called art software and viola, there it is.. Keeps guys like me who still does all his own modeling and whatever out of a job. Andre Alexander

Don't let these kind of comments get you. Automated software will not replace talent... they just make some tedious task a little easier. It still requires attention to details, lighting, texturing and composition to get a picture right. I guess painters had the same kind of comments when photographers started making art with their cameras :)

I feel your pain, AndreElias. Maybe you should quit. BTW, I, and many others that use Vue have done modeling (Rhino), and texturing (Deep Paint and Photoshop), and I never found it all that demanding. But making a GOOD scene in Vue (like the above) takes skill and time. Lars, A+ work.

Thank you all for the comments - they are very much welcome. Now, of course I have to reply to the comment by "AndreElias", which I find a little misplaced. There is very little non-original work present here. Tree design is made (!) by me - I don't know if it qualifies as "modelling" as such, since I've used software designed for the purpose - but it is a result of meticuolous tampering with the available parameters to get the desired result. The same goes for the grass modelling (!). Texturing? - There is not one texture present here which is not reworked or completely made from scratch. Now - AndreElias - ask yourself - does an artist have to make his own brushes and grind and mix his own paint to make art, or can he rely on existing craftsmanship to be creative? And do you program your own modelling software? If not, then your point of view backfires immediately, IMO. Thanks again - Lars
