Description

"Was this archer crazy to try and slay a dragon with an arrow? Prehaps... but the bounty on this dragon was too much to resist. The archer knew he had only one chance, the most difficult shot of his life. To hit the dragons eye he must wait until the last possible moment....."

Funny - when i saw the thumb i directly thought "where is my rifle?" But obviously you had a similar idea - good! The clearness of this image is fantastic. And of course the terrain is absolutely top notch, one of the best i have seen in a long time. Klasse!

Very cool. Excellent composition! I almost feel that you should see some of the dragon's shadow on the archer to put a bit more threat on him.

The shape and the texture of the mountains is fantastic! They seem a bit close too me though. As if they were only a few 100 Meters away.

Me thinks he/she is crazy. But thats just me..he seems to have alot of plate on,maybe some of it is red dragon hyde for his/her sake:D Lovely terrain work BTW.

I have to agree with BlueIce2 about the mountains, they seem like they're right there, adding a little fog/haze to the scene would really help bring out the depth here, but the composition and textures are first rate, Excellent work otherwise!

I like the way that the dragon seems a bit startled by the archer. And it does look like a dragon - no pussy cat!!!! Vote!

Very nice image. I have to agree with the above. When I first looked at the image I didn't realize he was on a cliff. It seem to look that the trees were to small. Then I realize he was on a cliff. The haze is a good idea. Another idea is to blur the background slightly. It will focus the cliff and bring the dragon forward. Just my humble opinion. This is a really nice picture and I am just making a suggestion. - Bob

it's a rich scene... a little more atmosphere would give depth.

Roll 2d to determine the outcome, if you roll 6 on both die you manage to slay the dragon, otherwise roll 1d999 for the dragon's attack and try again.

It is a beautiful image, Jeff! Here on this computer I'm having trouble seeing the archer is on a cliff about the trees. Perhaps a bit of haze would do the trick to gove more depth? Other than that, well done!

Another example of top-shelf terrain work and I really like the way you are integrating the Poser characters into your already fine VUE work, Jeff!
