Description

The buildings, fire, person by the tall tower and the ground in the foreground is all streight Poser render with no post work done on them at all. The sky, distant horizon and trees are my own 2D work drawn in Photoshop. The buildings and the fire are models I created in Wings 3D and in particular the buildings were the point of doing this picture. It seemed better to do a scene of some sort rather than simply a render of a model with no context. The 3 buildings are all my Hexagonal Tower which is done in 2 sections - the base which has a door but no windows [because typically the ground level wouldn't have windows] and then the upper level which has 12 windows, each can be varied separately to give different widths and hights. Also the battlements can be eliminated for floors in between the base and the top or you can vary the hight of them. And lastly, the tower has a taper parameter - the tall tower is tapered all the way up and the small building on the right has the walls turned into something more like a roof by tapering to a greater extent. It also is an example of small windows - the frame keeps it's outside dimention so small windows have a wide frame. The fires are a simple prop I made which has a range of MTs to allow you to get a reasonable animation of fire or to choose the look you want for a still.

Thanks, I have always been big on watching the sky and trying to copy the colours and feel of them so it's nice to hear that I have captured something.
