Description

more Sponza - (A) ----------------- more SPONZA ATRIUM (assorted renders) ------------------------------------- Created: 6-July-2005 Created with: - Bryce 5.5 (rendered in) - Photoshop (for any B&W minimalist versions) NOTE: The credit note to Marko Dabrovic on the images is required. SPECIAL NOTE: Since I can only upload 1 image per day to my Renderosity gallery here, this info & credits stuff covers all the images. - I'll be posting up the postworked B&W versions first, then the plain Bryce renders. ================== About: ------ FLASHBACK: I recently did a Bryce 5.5 render called "TARDIS-SPONZA" but I still had the base project file on my system for some later playing around with. FLASHFORWARD: I did the first version of these assorted renders on the 26th of June, but today (6-July) I did the others. The lighting wasn't changed, just the camera position as I wandered around rendering from interesting angles. They're deliberately dark because I use them for desktop wallpapers. (for tired eyes ;-) I just like playing around barely illuminating things to see what comes out and to give different looks & feels. :-) The B&W Photoshop postworked versions were done using a freebie filter that I downloaded many years ago called "Photocopy", one of the various filters from the "Unplugged" collection. (Not to be confused with the "Photocopy" filter inbuilt in Photoshop whch doesn't quite do the same thing.) BTW, any overt 'jaggies' are a byproduct of the filter process. I quite like how the postworked ones turned out because in isolated black & white they look quite abstract relying on a scarcity of details to achieve the effect I wanted. And yes, I do like Sin City B&W artwork too. :-) Z. ================== Freebies Credits: ----------------- * Sponza Atrium (it's the main architecture in the image) (c) Marko Dabrovic http://hdri.cgtechniques.com/~sponza/ - various file formats - * Unplugged "Photocopy" filter (a freebie Photoshop filter, not the inbuilt one) by Martijn W. van der Lee ==================

Intresting ideas here. I was looking at this too, how to do a comic/cell shading type of rendering, instead doing it with PS is was looking at a way to do it with just Bryce and no postwork whatsoever. I will post some of my experimentations later on in my own gallery.
