Well for those who like to know more about me this is it. My real name is Ed van Dalen. I live in the Netherlands, in Rotterdam to be precise. I was born in 1962 in that same city. This site (Renderosity) is a great place to be and I enjoy being here very much. A little explanation for the picture. Someone at the site gave me the idea for this logo when he linked my name with the name of the rockband Van Halen.  There is a resemblance with their logo but I gave it my personal twist with the mouse in the rings to make the connection to computer art.
BIO
As I told in the intro I'm dutch. I work as a service mechanic for 21 years now and since recently as a freelance digital artist. I am not a die hard computer artist because I started only about a year ago with this kind of art. I have been painting pin-ups for a lot of years until I visited a bookmarket where I found a book about 3d digital rendered figures. From then on I was hooked. It took until May this year (2005) before I had the nerve to post my first image. I'm glad I did though cause since then I got to know a lot of wonderful people who gave me the confidence to carry on with my art. This site has made my world so much bigger and I thank everyone who comes and visit it.

I always say the following: Animals don't do what the human is doing, it's a sad situation I feel with their families.

What can I say..I'm a little bit speachless here now, Ed. You have always impressed me with ypur pinups, and now I'm even more impressed than ever. You have managed the job to make a pinup into a serious and sad scene. What happened in London today is so sad and unbelivable. I think your picture here is so wonderful to express your feelings. Wonderful pose and expression, and a great detail with the flag of The United Kingdom. Totally amazing and excellent work, Ed!

What a wonderful tribute, Ed and your wonderful image who showes very clear your feelings.I live in England and we came just home from our short vacation and all over trains are controlled ever and ever again. In Southport the stopped everything because of a forgotten carrierbag. It is terrifying what was happen in London and I think every normal person can't understand why!!!! This people are worse than animals who kill only to survive!! Thank you for your words, Ed. Hugs, Ute!!
