Another 'Day of Infamy.' I'd fully intended to leave this little town and take us somewhere to have some fun. However, after the events in London this morning, that struck me as not appropriate. Looking through the images I have on hand, this seemed to be the best to post for today: Red, White, and Blue ensigns flying together. We are all in this together, and together we will prevail and survive this senseless ideological onslaught by madmen who relish in viewing each of our citizens as 'legitimate' targets. Such a doctrine of disrespect for humanity contains the seeds of its own destruction. However, it is our solemn duty to take up this challenge and to hasten that day when these incredibly evil people will have to answer to their, and our, Creator. It will not be easy. Churchill's "blood, sweat, and tears" rings true again as does Roosevelt's "nothing to fear except fear itself." Firmness of purpose and consistency of policy will win out. There is no appeasing tyranny no matter its basis. London, we are with you.
