Description

I used a shutterspeed of 1/1000th of a second here, which means it is freezing anny motion. Another choise could be to choose a quarter of a second, which would give some nice sence of action because of motion blur.... Too bad there was too much light for that and I didn't have my tripod along. These fish are quite active when maiding... and with a bit of luck you even capture half a fish outside of the water. opened up comment again after some messages and talks.. Think I can ignore the numbers now.. We'll see :)

So unusual to see fish the photo subject...well done and another piece of nature to appreciate. Thanks for looking in the photo for us at a part of nature we often do not think of watching! : )

Freezing the action works so well. Brilliant capture. I feel Motion blur would have given a blured fish and therefore not such a dynamic shot.Blessed Be

Your photography, as always, is spectacular. In the image the "frozen" water looks like ice, so the title's a nice contrast. :) Thanks for bringing us another unusual, but beautiful slice of nature. "V"

Me thinks it's the short shutter-speed making this one spectaculair, an action shot that shows it's vivid motions! Excellent work, Johannes! (did you throw your bread on the water? ;)

I'm glad to see you're allowing comments again. The numbers are hard to ignore,I know. But it would be a shame if you couldn't hear just how wonderful your work is.This shot is fabulous. The water looks like a block of ice.I have always loved the 'natural' feeling of your pics. This one especially has that.Great work,Johannes.
