trying to get that painted effect....and failing. Destiny by Predator2K scenery in world builder lots of photoshop

I wouldn't call that a failure at all. It does look painted, maybe not quite what you were going for, but I think it has a comic book type feel to it. I like it!

To get the painted effects, I find a combination of lights, material color & highlight settings, and carefull use/choice of reflection maps in poser helps a lot. And then careful postwork in photoshop and painter 5...

Your coming close with that painted affect. That other pic I talked about style on was great. I wasn't even certain at first if it was a painting or 3d art. Great stuff your really developing as an artist. Your other one looks more like a fine art painting this makes me think of an 80's adult animated file like Fire & Ice.
